on 24th may 1979 a young boy was born christened with the name Alexander John Pragnell at grange park methodist church in london ,but little did anyone know at the time young alexander was born with a condition with his neck called torticollis which meant his neck was twisted and in one direction and had to have surgery to straighten his neck which left him with a constricted collar bone and very tight upper body muscles ,he also had to have two hernia operations in the lower body. Young Alexander started early life living in the very north of london in a large 3 bedroom flat in Cockfosters with his mum Amanda Pragnell who was a trainee nurse at the time and dad David Pragnell who was a hairdresser having not long completed his apprentice at the famous london baker street salon of Vidal Sassoon, and sister Laura Pragnell. Then in 1981 the family moved to the south coast and set up home in Bexhill on Sea where dad David aquired Topnots hair salon in station road and the family set up home in the maisonette above the salon. Then as young alexander started school it became apparent he was suffering from a learning condition that nobody at the time knew what it was and Alex had to be placed in to a special need school to help him develop socially, and mentally and physically ,then in 1984 came the arrival of sister no2 Emma Pragnell who was born at the buchanan hospital in hastings. School life continued to be a struggle for Alex and after a year at torfield special needs school was enrolled into Sidley county primary school where he was assigned a support worker to sit with him in class and help him with his work ,school continued to be a problem for alex being taken out of classes every so often for routine hearing tests and other basic health tests. In 1987 upon a visit to his granny and grandpa's house in Winchmore hill north London Alex got a glimpse of his first ever minigolf course the 18 hole minigolf course at Broomfield Park in Palmers Green where he became fascinated with minigolf ,then in 1990 Alex joined Bexhill High School where he became part of the special needs department and had someone assigned to him to accompany him to lessons to support him with his work . During secondary school years Alex's fascination with minigolf increased during several family holidays to Center Parcs where Alex regulary beat the family in family competitions ,once Alex's time at Bexhill High School came to an end he left the School with a range of GCSE qualifications and went on to Bexhill college where he achieved several foundation level qualifications ,then in 1998 on another family holiday to Center Parcs Alex tasted his first minigolf competitive outing coming 6th out of 14 entrantsin the center parcs tournament ,minigolf was becoming an addiction for Alex and he often was seen playing the 12 hole concrete minigolf course on Bexhill seafront at the metropole lawns which Alex often went around the course scoring par or better, later that year Alex got a job as a warehouse operative at Gardners books picking and packing books. In 2003 Alex moved to Hastings to live at pelham place right opposite the minigolf this was to be Alex's first own home away from living with his parents who still reside in Bexhill ,every night after work Alex would head over to the minigolf and play for two hours ,in those days the hastings adventure golf complex stayed open till midnight, and one evening Alex shot a 27 on the crazy course sheer delight was written all over his face, then as 2003 drew to a close things suddenly did'nt work out at the flat and Alex vacated the flat christened the palace of love to move in with a close friend of his still living in hastings ,unfortuanately in 2004 after walking home from work one evening Alex was mugged and kicked and punched to the floor leaving him with severe brusing to the lower back and swelling to the face including a black eye luckily a passer by helped out and called the police and ambulance and Alex was taken to hospital for examination where the hospital decided nothing could be done and Alex was left extremely sore and unable to walk properly for 2 weeks .Then in October 2004 Alex moved into a new flat at millfield court in Bexhill where he spent 9 happy years there .
THE TIGER YEARS
One sunny sunday afternoon back in 2010 Alex was bored and was sitting at his computer when an idea came in to his head wondering whether minigolf was actually a proper competitive activity and Alex did some research online and sure enough stumbled across the british minigolf association website where Alex was pleased to find minigolf was a propely organised competitive sport and was keen to join the british minigolf association , that november Alex stumbled across the website of the planet hastings minigolf website and was keen to join and thought the small £10 membership fee was too good to turn down ,so upon sending a cheque of £10 to the planet hastings minigolf club along with the membership form Alex was getting rather excited although the excitement turned to dissapointment as planet hastings leader back then tim davies somehow lost the paperwork and the £10 cheque . Then two weeks later Alex discovered a minigolf club in London called the green which had an equipment supply shop onsite , but before making a trip to the green Alex searched the internet to find a ball supply company and came across nifo a large Swedish equipment company in which he duly placed an order with them for his first minigolf ball the m&g Tim Davies legend , then a week later Alex headed to the green in hope of buying his first proper minigolf putter which he did so whilst he was there purchasing a brand new nifo double putter which he took for a spin shooting an 82 in his first proper solo practice round. Once back home Alex ordered some more balls from nifo and joined the british minigolf associastion . That christmas Alex was given some putters fingers course balls from his dad who emphasised starting with those as they were cheaper rather than buying tournament minigolf balls. Sure enough 2011 came and in April Alex made his debut on the british minigolf association tour at the british masters in Margate finishing 3rd from last in the tournament ,after the masters Alex spoke with the kent minigolf club captain Sean Homer who snapped Alex up at a bargain price ,and Alex was set to join his first minigolf club ,the rest of the season continued with mediocre results for Alex but Alex was determined not to give up in his quest for minigolf supremecy . That summer Alex made a major discovery as the learning condition he has suffered with since birth was found to be called dispraxia a condition which affects co ordination and a whole range of other things .Later that year Alex won the most improved player award at the kent open the first break through in Alex's career , 2012 followed with more dull results but an improvement on 2011 slowly climbing the rankings in the process ,more of the same continued in 2012 and towards the end of 2012 Alex decided to change his name to Tiger via deed poll in honour of his golf hero Tiger woods So 2013 came and Tiger came so near to his first tour victory finishing 4th in the british crazy golf open losing to the winner by two strokes ,then in August Tiger won his first tournament the 2013 Hastings Winkle Club charity challenge with a round of 40 eventually winning in a sudden death play off, so after a brief spell in the pro ranks catergory one Tiger finished the season in catergory 2 , 2014 was largely uneventful for Tiger who failed to retain his Winkle Club crown losing out to fellow tour pros Dave and Will donnelly ,later that year tiger just missed out on a top 18 birth at the british open in hastings finishing -25 under par . 2015 was to bring great promise as tiger started the year finishing 6th at the cup cake classic tournament out of 21 entrants losing to the winner by only two strokes ,the next event event ended in dissapointment as Tiger's last outing in kent minigolf club colours did'nt go as planned as The kent hurricane team which Tiger was part of ended up 3rd from last. Then towards the end of march 2015 tiger decided for various reasons to transfer to the midlands minigolf club which was greeted with mixed responses from current club mates at the kent minigolf club. So as Tiger continues to go from strength to strength it is the british masters event up next the event Tiger made his debut at .
